Credit Card Debt Help Available On The Internet
When you have serious credit card debt (or any other form of debt that you are struggling to pay) then its very easy to become frustrated when looking for answers as to how to deal with it. It may be that consolidation of your debts is the best way forward for you, or it could be that bankruptcy is now your only option, in reality. But, how to tell which of these options is best for you and which one is right for your particular circumstances?
The simple fact is that if you choose bankruptcy then your financial future will suffer the most. You credit will be affected for many years to come. In the US (unlike the UK, generally speaking) you will not even get off without paying at least some of your outstanding bills as was one time the case. As such, bankruptcy can no longer be seen as an easier option or as a ”get out of debt free card”.
Furthermore, as mentioned, your credit rating will suffer big time and in the US declaring bankruptcy will mean that your credit record will be adversely affected for a period of between 7 and 10 years. Within this period of time, trying to attain almost any type of loan will be fairly much an impossible task, and at the same time, it can also affect your career prospects too.
Take care though when you come across statements like ”we will wipe out your debt for free!” and such like. There are a lot of fraudulent dealings when it comes to helping out with credit card debt, and if its not fraudulent its verging on it.
With the laws as they are these days in the US and with the amount of help available its a sensible option, most of the time, to take the consolidation option. So unless you are in very, very deep trouble with your credit card and or other debts, consolidation is the way to go!
